Automatic Birthday Greeter Facebook App
I just released the first version of my Automatic Birthday Greeter Facebook application. It’s very simple to use. After logging in to the app, you will see 3 list boxes. The left-most list box displays all your friends, the middle list box (Default) displays all friends that you want to send a default message on their birthdays, and the right-most one (Custom) displays all your friends that will get your custom message on their birthdays.
The first time you log in the left list box should display all your friends while the other 2 boxes are empty. You can move a friend from the left to the middle, middle to right, right to middle, middle to left boxes by dragging a friend from the list box. If you have thousands of friends then dragging may not be a good option. So I added a move-all-friends feature. Look for the blue arrows between the list boxes. Should save you some time.
Now after moving friends, what would you do? Nothing really. I have a service running in my machine that scans all your friends moved to the default and custom list boxes and if their birthdays occur on the day the scan was started, then your birthday message will be posted to their walls.
They’ll appreciate that you remember and you’ll feel better. You’ll never forget your Facebook friend’s birthday.
